FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Your Questions, Answered
If you’ve never visited a professional Pain Management Therapist before, you’re bound to have lots of questions or concerns. Below, you’ll find a list of several frequently asked questions from my patients. Connect us today for more information.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST TREATMENT?
This is a mobile massage service. We bring everything needed for your massage session to your location. All you need to do is make sure there is parking available and a space inside cleared for a massage table. You will be asked to fill out a health history form prior to the start of your massage which you can do in advance. It helps to have gym clothes or loose fitting clothes on hand because you might be moving around during the treatment. Plan to be on-time and ready 10-15 minutes prior to the start of your massage session. Please note that being late does not mean your appointment end time changes.
Payment is taken at the time of the appointment via venmo, cash, credit card or HSA/FSA.
Please note we have a *24-hr Cancellation Policy that requires full fee as a courtesy to your therapists time.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST SESSION?
You'll discuss your issues and history with your therapist, who will then do an assessment to diagnose the root cause of your issues. They will develop a completely individualized plan including your massage treatment as well as discussing strength/conditioning, mobility training, self-care strategies and support to help you overcome pain and get back to living your life. During your massage session you may be clothed, but sometimes it helps to work directly on the skin in which case your therapist will let you know if you need to remove any clothing and be draped by a sheet for modesty. It helps to have gym clothes or loose fitting clothes on hand because you might be moving around during the treatment. Your session will end with a re-test of the initial issues to assess the change and results.
During your session some areas may feel sensitive or intense, but never painful. Your therapist will communicate with you about pressure tolerance and work to ensure the treatment is effective. You may feel some soreness post-treatment for up to a few days, similar to a workout. Soreness from treatments should diminish quickly as your pain or issue is resolved.

CAN I USE MY HSA/FSA ACCOUNT?
Yes! Bring your HSA/FSA debit card as payment at the time of your massage session.
Please note, we do not do third party billing for insurance, as most insurance companies do not cover massage therapy. However, if you know your insurance does cover massage therapy your receipt can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement.

HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO BE TREATED?
Our treatments are designed to get you out of pain fast. When all other treatments have failed you, there is still hope and we can help with complicated cases. The length of treatment will depend on the severity of your injury/pain and the amount of time the issue has been building. In general, the more chronic an issue is the more sessions it will take to correct. After your first session you should see significant improvement. The remainder of the issue can be resolved in 5-15 weekly sessions and your therapist will discuss a treatment plan with you.
If you do not see significant improvement (usually in 3-5 sessions) then our treatments may not be right for you. For example, this would happen if the solution would be if the patient required surgery to correct the issue. If this happens, our therapist can recommend a path going forward.
